Pierre Cardin, a French fashion designer born on July 7, 1922 at San Biagio di Callalta, Italy. Pierre Cardin focused on innovative and experimental creations that clearly depicted arts, culture and politics in his designs. He also pioneered Space-age collection that constitutes technical and geometric designs ignoring the feminine figure. Pierre Cardin basically promoted a unisex collection of fashion clothes which were though innovative but was often limited to unrealistic fashions. Pierre Cardin used ultramodern designs and trends in his designer fashionable clothes.

Cardin pursued his academics in architecture in Paris. Lately he started working for haute couture. Soon in 1950's Japan emerged as a new market amongst other fashion markets of the world, due to his hardwork and dedication. In 1954 he inaugurated the "bubble dress", which gained a lot of popularity in the fashion world. In the year 1970, this man of customs and culture hit the headlines by inaugurating 'Escape Cardin' at Cardin's own place for promoting his designer and talented artistic collection like musicians, theatre ensembles etc.

From 1981 he was working under the control of a popular restaurant Maxim's de Paris where he initiated the complete range of secondary line products, with their trademark. He won a great deal of awards for the remarkable designs, he has always remained as the most appreciated decorated courtier.

He searched for new markets and entered the automotive market in America for designing the interiors of station wagons, where his quality and innovative work was quite appreciated and he was loaded with work. He gave his designer views for thousands of cars and hence gained popularity. Later on, in 1994, he started with designer clothes after gaining knowledge in different types of design work. His customers were selected and specifically journalists who had a taste for his designs. He gains the success in having his fashion popularized as a complete art.

Pierre Cardin has maintained his rising fame for more than 4 decades in the world of fashion. He was the first to modernize the men's fashion style and to make fashion more common. Lateran after firming his feet in fashion industry he started operating in Japan, China and the USSR. Due to his futuristic outlook he will always remain the main player in fashion world with a vision of future. InuYasha? Or is it Inuyasha? Either way, this feudal fairy tale is the one of the most popular Japanese anime out currently. And it all started with a comic book series (known better as a "manga series") written by Rumiko Takahashi. But what makes this anime series so popular and why do over 130,000 people a month search for Inuyasha on the Internet search engines?

InuYasha is Japanese for "dog spirit" and you will discover this is fitting for a title. The story is about a time-traveling student, Kagome Higurashi and Inuyasha who, with other exciting anime characters, fight to protect the Jewel of Four Souls. This jewel gives hugely increased powers to anyone who has it and will mean catastrophe if it falls into the wrong hands.

Of course, there are certainly wrong hands for it to fall into! Evil Naraku is one they must defeat. And all the characters -- a demon slayer, a fox demon, a monk and more -- must do everything possible to find the jewel, which was stolen and later shattered into many shards.

So the story is exciting, yes. And it pulls you along with all the adventures you can imagine. The anime came from the popular Japanese manga series, which was adapted into 167 anime episodes directed by two different directors. It first aired on Yomiuri TV in Japan in 2000 and ran through to close to the end of 2004. There was no conclusion, and in order to continue with the series, you must read the manga that is still being released.

The manga itself began in Shonen Sunday, a weekly publication in Japan, as early as November of 1996 and carried on through to 485 chapters published as of 2006 and is still going. If you are collecting these issues, you can collect every 10 or so chapters in a bound volume. There are no signs that Inuyasha will stop and you can continue reading the manga to your heart's content as long as Takahashi continues to create the story.

If there weren't tons of people enjoying the series, it wouldn't have continued and it would have been a dismal failure. And the author wouldn't now be one of the richest women in Japan. The demand for the story to continue comes from the readers and viewers of the manga and anime, and this demand has spread across the world.

The English version, published by Viz Media, had to be changed in format because, of course, in Japanese a person reads from right to left where in the U.S. and many other countries, the reading goes from left to right. The English comics were published starting in 1998 and continue being issued, but they are still a few years away from catching up to Japan publications of the story.

Inuyasha was first broadcast as anime on satellite television by Animax, and in the U. S. on the Cartoon Network. It is also running on the Latin American Cartoon Network and is dubbed in Spanish. You can even see it on some cruise ships, if you care to spend a cruise watching anime. Well, many do! And this just verifies the huge popularity of the series and the incredible and fascinating tale of Inuyasha and the Jewel of Four Souls.

Samurai swords undoubtedly hold a certain mystique most other swords don't. You'd think with the Japanese being so used to these swords as part of their history and culture they would be rather blasé about it all. In fact, the opposite is true - the Japanese people have held in high regard all along, to this very day, everything involved with samurai swords; the blades themselves, the decorations, the history, and of course, the artisans who skillfully craft them.

Some would define a real samurai sword as one which has been wielded by a samurai in a bygone era. I believe this is an incorrect distinction. To me, such swords wielded by samurai I refer to as 'original' or 'antique' samurai swords. Real samurai swords are simply swords which have been created by skilled sword smiths in the traditional manner, and not factory reproduced. Hence, a real sword could be just a few hours or days old, providing it was borne of the traditional way.

Massive distinctions must be made clear between factory produced swords and real swords. To the non-connoisseur, a high quality factory produced sword may look pretty similar to a real sword on the outside, but inside, there is a world of difference too complicated to fully explore in this article, though I will touch upon a few key issues:

Real Samurai Swords...

...are made from folded steel. A block of steel which has been pounded and folded repeatedly creating layers, which gives the inside of the blade enormous strength and flexibility, much like the rings of a tree stump. Factory produced samurai swords are usually simply cast or ground out of a strip of non folded metal meaning they are very weak.

...have been heat treated. Clay is placed along the blade at differing thicknesses, heated, and plunged into water (a process called yaki-ire) which is designed to make the edge of the blade hard enough to retain it's sharpness, whilst making the rear of the blade more soft and reed like, to absorb the shock of a blow. This is also what gives each blade the unique one-off pattern.

...are made to battle specs. Yes, even today. While swordsmiths may be inclined to experiment and sometimes make more flamboyant blades, each sword is made to the specifications of the past - that is, to be strong, light, flexible and ultimately, capable of swift killing. No self-respecting Japanese sword smith would abandon these underlying principles - the very principles which made these the world's most notorious and functional swords. To do so would render it a non samurai sword.

In closing, real Japanese swords are a true investment, a true one off, and to hold a sword which has been created by a skilled sword smith in the traditional manner gives an appreciation of the craftsmanship and history, and feeling of awe that no factory made sword could ever give.

Look at Tokyo today and you will see what the Tokyo- jin (meaning Tokyo people in japanese) have that we don't have in our cities- bustling streets with thousands of people waiting to cross the roads, giantic television screens on the sides of buildings, high school students roaming the streets of shibuya after school and fashion statements made everywhere you go! It never cease to amaze travellers in Tokyo at the amount of things all happening all the same time, and most are often left dazzled by everything they see.

So, what can you do in Tokyo when you are there? (provided you are not "paralysed", dazed and standing in the middle of the street).

What can you do there: Many things..

But before you have fun getting lost in a foreign land without no knowledge, how about learning how the train works for a start? That's a good start, if you are intending to use public transport, and you can probably pick up the rest from there.

Some quick points..

1) Trains are called JR (Japan Rail) and there are many trains stations all over japan. The whole system of train routes and stops is a massive spider web and it takes some understanding of the sytem to get from point A to point B in Tokyo.

2) To get to most tourist spots in Tokyo, you only need to know about Yamanote train travel. Learn to get on to Yamanote train travel from your local train station and the rest is easy.

3) If you are going to travel intensively by train, it's advisable to get a unlimited JR train ticket from major state train stations like Tokyo and Osaka train stations- costs savings overall.

Things to do:

Using JR trains, you can just about get to anywhere you want in Japan. There's also a shinkansen (bullet-train) to get from state to state but it's rather expensive for a ride. Places like Ueno, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Akihabara, Ikebukuro, Ginza and Harajyuku are places you should look out for as they are the main tourists spots with heaps of Japanese culture and attractions.

Ueno (pronounced as "ooo-a-no") - famous park and zoo

Shibuya- hotspot for young people, high school kids and accessories

Shinjuku- business center but lots of shopping and interesting things about

Akihabara- computer, electronics and gadgets town

Ikebukuro- accessories, trendy clothes and more shopping

Harajuku- fashion, large variety of shops and roppon-ni (bars)

Ginza- trendy and expensive shopping area

There are so many things and places that you see in Tokyo; entertainment, traditional, cultural, food, shopping and tourist spots, and I will only spoil the fun of adventure to tell you about everything in Japan or Tokyo like guide books do. :-)
You easily find help and tourist information along your way, if you get lost in the bubbly Tokyo. Now that you know how to get around Tokyo using trains, why not take up the challenge and explore Tokyo on your own?

This anime is much more then fan service to the gentle men. It is a proven fact most women do not wear appropriate size under garments. The main the character is on a mission to see that female teachers and female students are properly educated about wearing cute but comfortable attire. She also just happens to an underwear monitor for her family who makes lingerie for teens.

This anime is adorable and at times embarrassing, but who doesn't have an embarrassing moment from junior high. If you are ashamed from watching this anime, then your mind wasn't in the right place to begin with.

Recent research shows 90% of all women 15-64 worldwide want to change at least one aspect of their physical appearance. Who doesn't want to be more attractive? As a nation we have grown increasingly more image conscious and obsessed about changing the way we look. Switch on the TV and lose yourself in the emotion of the makeover shows, open a glossy magazine for the 'have they or haven't they' plastic surgery intrigue and more commonly, who has lost or gained the most weight this week! I am not saying this is a completely bad thing. Striving to be the best you can be, implementing healthy eating and exercise routines offers huge benefits to our well being and self-esteem.

Yet as illustrated above, statistics show a growing trend of dissatisfaction with our body image. However, the feeling of satisfaction with our body is more than just a physical reality. Our personal crusade to gain control over our attractiveness may one day meet the harsh realization that we may in fact never reach our desired physical state. Not only can we waste precious time and energy but often what we want may not be what we really need. A client recently told me she has been on a diet for 10 years and now refuses to attempt another one. What would have been different if she started her first diet with an acknowledgment of her current attractiveness and decided to work from there? To build on her strengths and view herself as already attractive?

Often we can mistakenly think a key to our ultimate happiness or success lies in a pair of size 8 jeans or a cosmetically straightened nose. Yet, if we are utterly convinced that we are unattractive, and have spent many years telling ourselves, it is unlikely we will transform how we feel about our appearance after a nip and tuck! The answer to how attractive you think you are is exactly that. You are only as attractive as you think you are.

A lifetime's belief in one's own essential unattractiveness cannot be unseated unless it is tacked at the root; how we feel and think about ourselves. Think of how often you ponder over your 'negative' feature, how long have you believed this? Who first told you it was true? What was their agenda? What is it costing you to keep this belief alive? Are you prepared to carry this into your future?

The good news is that if you really want to, you can change the way you feel about your looks forever. Attractiveness is a state of mind.

If you are serious about wanting to see the 'beauty within' and thus allowing the world to also see your beauty then I would ask you to start with just one thing:

Have a reality check:

Close the bathroom door and take a long look at yourself in the mirror, identify once and for all your body image gremlins. Now, take a deep breath and find 3 things you like about your body. Tomorrow, remind yourself of those three things and find another two. And so on. Start to acknowledge how attractive you are right here and now. If a negative thought pops in to your mind, thank it for offering assistance but from now on you have chosen to concentrate and focus solely on your beauty. Sound a little warm and fuzzy? Maybe, but what do you have to lose?
